Training Style

Group supervision facilitates reflection and integration of learning throughout the process. On the professional development module have an opportunity to broaden their awareness of chosen specialist areas, present aspects of their practice, and attend an assessment interview.

Trainers

Dr Iain Bourne and Ms Billie Oliver are the trainers and assessors. Peter Allen is the internal verifier for the Award Centre, and the OCR appoint an external verifier for the award.

Aim

This course aims to train, assess and accredit counsellors as having demonstrated their competence to work skilfully, appropriately, and ethically with adolescents and adults whose lives have been significantly and adversely affected by a traumatic event.
